Follow the completion of Match #5 Championship Shoot-Out Flight Winners Awards – Completion of shootout

• Golfers will pick the tees that wish to play from but MUST remain on those tees for the duration of the event.
• Round Robin Format
  • 6 teams in each flight, each team will play every other team in their flight one nine-hole match better net ball of the pair
• Flights will be determined by the combined total handicap index. NOTE: Players lowest Handicap Index (over the past 3 months) are used for handicap calculations.
• Matches will be played at 80% of handicap with a maximum of 18 strokes awarded per nine-hole match.
• All 9-hole matches are to be played off the lowest calculated player handicap index in the foursome (½ shots will be used). Handicap Index will be taken into consideration when calculating handicaps. Note: some players who have the same 18-hole handicap may have different 9 hole handicaps due to different indexes and course ratings for each 9-hole match.
• Points will be awarded as follows:
  • Team winning a hole will get 1 point
  • Team tying a hole will get ½ point. 
  • Team losing a hole will get 0 points. 8. There are a total of 9 points available in each match
• In case of a default, the maximum number of points to be won is 5
• Flight winners will be determined by total points over the 5 matches.
• Points earned will break ties for flight winners from the match where the two tied teams played each other
• In the case of a tie in the above-mentioned match, the winners will be determined by a closest to the pin chip-off
• In the case of multiple ties within a flight, the total number of points from matches the tied teams played each other will determine the winners.

(Note: All closest to the pin chip-offs MUST be on the green to have a chance to advance. If no shots are on the green, the format will be repeated.)

SHOOT-OUT FORMAT

Championship Playoff

• The Championship Shoot-Out will consist of the flight winners

Format

• Flight winners will start on Hole #1 playing true alternate shot white tees 50% of Team Handicap
• One Team will be eliminated after each hole. Any ties will be determined by a closest to the pin chipoff.
• A tie for (1st ) in the final Shoot-Out hole, positions will be determined by “closest to the hole” from the fairway of the final Shoot-Out hole. Both partners will have an opportunity to hit the shot.

NOTE: In the event that any person (member or guest) on a team, who is a Flight winner, is not able to participate in the Shoot-Out, that team will have to forfeit their spot in the Shoot-Out. There are no substitutes permitted for the partner or the team in this instance.

(*NOTE: With an Alternate Shot format there must be two players playing as the team)
