There are fairway bunkers on both sides of the fairway with the left one about 210 yards out. The drive should be short of both the water and the right-side bunker but still centered.  There is plenty of room on the right for slicers on this first tee, but drives to the left spell trouble.  Hole one is one of the few greens on this course that is un-trapped.
